DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2025, Check Application Details and Apply Online Link

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has released the notification for recruiting Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) for various subjects. This recruitment drive aims to fill 432 vacancies across schools and educational institutions managed by Delhi’s Directorate of Education and local bodies.




Aspiring candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply online from 16th January 2025 to 14th February 2025. The posts are distributed across various subjects, including Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and more.

The selection will be done through a Tier-I examination comprising objective-type questions. Candidates are advised to review the eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, and other essential details before applying online via the DSSSB portal.

DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2025 Details

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers to secure a position in the government sector with a competitive salary in Pay Level 8, ranging from ₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100.

To be eligible for the DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2025, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university or institution. Along with this, they are required to have a professional teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or an equivalent certification recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Candidates with integrated qualifications, like B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed., or a three-year B.Ed.-M.Ed. program from a recognized institution, are also eligible to apply. As there is no mandatory experience requirement, this opportunity is open to both fresh graduates and experienced candidates.

The maximum age limit for candidates applying for PGT positions is 30 years. Age relaxations apply to certain categories as per government norms:

• Government Servants: Up to 5 years of relaxation.
• Contractual Employees in the Same Department: Relaxation up to the duration of service (maximum 5 years).

Registration Fee

The DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2025 application fee is ₹100 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories. However, candidates from SC/ST categories, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and women applicants are exempted from paying the fee.

The fee must be paid online through the SBI e-pay portal, and no other payment modes will be accepted. Note that the application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Post-Graduate Teacher Selection Process

The selection process for PGT recruitment includes a One-Tier Examination that checks general skills and subject knowledge. The exam has two parts. Section I covers topics like Mental Ability, Reasoning, General Awareness, English, Hindi, and Numerical Aptitude, worth 100 marks. Section II focuses on the candidate’s subject knowledge and teaching skills, worth 200 marks.

The test will be available in both Hindi and English, except for language-specific sections. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. The final selection is based on the total marks scored in both sections, and the required passing marks depend on the candidate’s category.
